Dear Kuroda-san, I and my nisei and sansei friends have been following your blog over the last days and weeks. I am totally amazed by your calm and poetic way, in which you describe and handle the catastrophy. We keep the fingers crossed for you (also on the 11th). Good night from Sao Paulo, Alex

Last night in a small German village was very quite, a long, slow one. I don’t sleep very well since I left Tokyo. Must be very beautiful there by now. I could never understand what makes it what it is. And what is it actually? Tiny streets and busy highways, glittering lights, smiling face of a child, a lost toy puppet swimming in a fountain at Omotesando and the guys in the sushi place in the neighbourhood granting my kids each time small giveaways and all them salarymen in the trains and the girls, and the boys, and the old ones, the young ones, the parents, the children, the taxis and the first gulp of Asahi Super Dry after the long working day and the feeling of being at home which I don’t have anymore now. But it will all be back again one day. Flying back next saturday. Need to see what we can do to make it even better. Stay safe and take care, all of you
